Following the success of the 4th Annual United States - Vietnam Energy Security Dialogue which was held in July in Washington, D.C, on 29/08/2022, the delegation from the U.S Department of Energy (DOE), led by Ms. Elizabeth Urbanas - Deputy Assistant Secretary, visited and discussed with Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) to accelerate collaboration between PTSC and the U.S Enterprises on developing offshore renewable energy projects.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Manh Cuong - PTSC President & CEO introduced in details about PTSC’s facilities, manpower, capability and experience in offshore wind projects in which PTSC has been participating domestically and internationally as well as affirming PTSC’s legal grounds and Petrovietam’s support to pursuit its target of setting the offshore renewable energy, especially the offshore wind, to become PTSC’s new core business in the coming time. Mr. Le Manh Cuong also expressed PTSC’s willingness to explore opportunities to cooperate with the U.S partners for supply chain to provide services for offshore renewable projects.
Listening to what PTSC had shared , Ms. Elizabeth Urbanas expressed her interests in PTSC’s strategic development plan for the offshore renewable energy industry. She also emphasized that the DOE will support PTSC by connecting PTSC with the U.S counterparts who are specialized in providing survey, research, training and financing services for offshore wind projects so parties can explore collaboration opportunities on supply chain for these renewable energy projects.
The meeting was cordial and productive, further confirming the success of the energy security dialogues between the two nations in general and the prospect of cooperation in offshore renewable energy sector between PTSC and the U.S Enterprises in particular.
